Time to gather my thoughts!

November 10, 2009

I recently feel the urge to come back to blogging and writing all the Lord is doing in my heart. I read some of my old posts and saw how amazing it is how we forget how awesome God (ABBA) has been to us. I pray that the urgency in our hearts begins to cry out. I find myself having to remind myself how God has NEVER let me down. Like the disciples we have the tendency to forget his great works and promises he’s fulfilled in us. When the “issues” of life seem to consume our thoughts, we need times like tonight where I’m reminded my God has never let me down! EVER! Praise be to our God on high! The Alpha and Omega.

2 Kings 6:16

“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

STOP! and Notice His Love!

October 15, 2008

How can anyone look at this picture and not say there is a God! My mother sent this picture to me from her phone, and I was overjoyed with God’s signs of love for us! I’m BIG on seeing God in nature around us, and well I thank him for this brief moment where he stops us in our day and shows us these things!

So take a look up, and see what God wants to say. Never be to busy to notice the signs God has for us! Take a break and give thanks!

We love you to Father!

Thanks mom =]

Ambassador or Christian?

October 10, 2008

Which would you like to be?

Christian- Any follower of Christ
Ambassador- an authorized messenger or representative

2 Corinthians 5:20
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Me personally would like to be an authorized official with a mission sent to lands for my king. Paul calls us Ambassadors of Christ, so (Ephesians 6) Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. As an Ambassador we have rank, and it’s time to fulfill God’s calling.

Common question:
You a Christian?
Common answer:
Yes

Uncommon answer:
No, I’m an Ambassador of Christ!

O lord, teach us to be your ambassador……..

Suffering- Old school

October 6, 2008

Written in February 7 2008:

Ok so i was reading recently in the book of Proverbs, and this is what i got out of it!

Phillipians 1:29-30

For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.  We are in this struggle together. You have seen my struggle in the past, and you know that I am still in the midst of it.

No way Suffering a privilege??

What does this mean, and how is suffering a privelege?

So i’ve come down to this conclusion. Suffering is a privelege because it sets you to be LIKE CHRIST. It is a privilege because in your weakness Christ is stronger. God gets to show you how amazing he is, at times when he’s showing you how small we ALL are. So when we suffer it’s a privilege, because it means that God loves you, and is showing you his AMAZING POWER! He is showing you that you MUST depend on him, and that he still loves you, and is ready to take you to the next level in your walk with him!

Suffering is also a privilege because when you stand for your FAITH! When you stand for what is right, God loves it! If your suffering because of your faith, or because your standing for what is right! Than Rejoice, for your rewards will be MUCH greater than any amount of suffering…..

….Just think people are dying, being tortured, and brutalized, because of their FAITH! So rejoice in your suffering For God Almighty Loves YOU!!!

**Holy Spirit inspired, and this still speaks to me =]**

What if……..

September 30, 2008

  1. What if every sin we committed Christ felt the crack of that whip again?
  2. What if every sin we committed we felt the pain?

How much do you love God? Is he worth ridding yourself of every unrighteous anger, lust, greediness, laziness, and all the other sins we commit each and every day!

  • What if we loved beyond anyone’s understaning?
Can you love those that despise you?
Can you love those that offend you?
Can you love those who are unlovable?
  • What if like the disciples Christ is calling on YOUR name to change the world
  • Could you handle the hardships that Paul, and Peter faced?

Revelation 2:3
You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.

2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

He needs us as a people to change this dark world…….

Mark 16:15
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

Prayer Vigil Wrap-Up

September 29, 2008

This saturday was the young men’s prayer vigil consisting of 8 hours of prayer, worship, and fellowship. The hours occured from (11pm-7am). There was a total of 15 people, with 12 who made all 8 hours. There were 4 men baptized, and 12 of us took Communion together. It was a night of revival, there was a overwhelming amount of God’s Love poured out on us, and we cried, laughed, and grew stronger as brothers.  We had one-on-one time with God as well as partenering with one another to share testimonies and struggles. There was Prayer Warfare, in where we fought against the enemy and the little power he has, and rocked the spiritual realm. God calls us as believers to pray, and so thats what this group did……..

Can’t wait til next month, when it all starts over again….

My personal favorite moment was 12 men singing  (not very well) in a circle to their creator with the worship leader, Matt (not me) leading us in glorious praise.  This overwhelmed me with the power of God’s love

Don’t Underestimate the power of prayer when you call on God he answers:

Psalms 91:14-15
“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him;

Sickness

September 26, 2008

So I’ve been sick this week, and unable to function as I normally do. (sprinting) :) But i have learned one thing through my physical struggle. Satan is out to seek and destroy and I have been hit financially, socially, mentally, and physically this week. This can only mean one thing to me!

You ready? ……………………….

Satan only attacks those who are a threat to his kingdom! I recently have plunged back into reading the word, and now i oppose a threat to his kingdom! This Saturday me and some young men from the church will be doing a 8 hour prayer vigil from 11pm-7am devoted to worship and prayer for our city, and Christ! Only twist is we get NO SLEEP! =] I love these!

So ask yourself have you been through hardships lately? If so REJOICE! God has a BIG PLAN! and Satan is just trying to get in God’s way!

Thank you lord……..

Hebrews 12:7
Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?

2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Persistent Complaints

September 20, 2008

I have this child at work that craves my attention. She always complains about something about others, or physical pain. She always wants to play, and if I’m not able to she will go and than return again two minutes later. As annoying, or overwhelming this may be for me I remember one thing, how much do I complain to God?

Do you thank God in prayers?

or

Do you complain about what you have isn’t enough?

Stop complaining, and thank God that he has even given you the right to live another day! Also, while your here and alive, why not further his kingdom? Take advantage of your day, and do thing without complaining.

     Philippians 2:14-16
14  Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15  so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe 16  as you hold out[a] the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.

Spiritual Warfare

September 19, 2008

So as I sit, and think of all that has happened amongst the men in our group at Grace; I see blogs being started, more Unity, more Brotherhood, more Growth, and more Faith. This pass week, I’vehad accounts of things such as accountability and other things as just growth and God inspired thoughts from our youth. But today, I had so many thoughts and confirmations of Spiritual Warfare.
It started this morning, when listening to one of Javier’s songs inspired by “The Screwtape Letters” book. The idea behind the song is Demons talking to other demons about how to tempt us as Christians. Than I had two accounts of friends and friends of family tell me about there need for demonic interventions in the home. Saturday, is where a team of us willl go with all intention of furthering our kingdom of christ, so please pray….But as I pray and seek God’s advice I see this, one he has been with them from the strart, but something has left them vulnerable for attack. Maybe closet sin, unforgiveness, or something yet to be revealed. Two, I see this, God is bigger than any circumstance, and especially any demon. He has entitled us power, and revelation.
The word of God is our sword! My question is how big is your sword, and how sharp? Our sheildis made by Faith! How big and durable is your shield? Does it wither because of experiences you’ve had, and does it have bruises for your lack of trust? One thing that really blows my mind is this: In spiritual realm you don’t look like flesh and bones. You are as tall, buff, and warrior like as you have put time after Christ! You grow stronger as you pursue Christ, and your as strong as every word that comes from the mouth of God. You have billions upon billions of angels watching over you, and yet we still doubt? Remember God has already given you victory, and Satan is beneath you in ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.  How big are you in spirit form?

Will DEMONS feel intimidated when YOU walk in a room……
