Does God Brag about You!?

Tribulations come in and out of season, it’s a time of testing and growth. Somehow we are supposed to be joyful in some of the most toughest and most trying times in our lives.

God has asked us in

Romans 5:3-4

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Ok so we are supposed to be joyful in hard times because we it produces our character and builds our faith and hope in Christ. I can understand that and I believe that is one of the hardest things to do especially when things are SO BIG it seems impossible to ever get out. Just think when  money is tight, car starts to fail, we get laid off, and life’s necessities need to be replaced what do you feel? Joy right? (WRONG!) Least for me I get stubborn, upset, confused. Well came across this scripture in my friday bible study and this was our discussion.

Job 1:7-12

And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
So Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
So Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”
So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

Our smallgroup came to this realization! As a father takes pride in his son/ daughter succeeding in life, so God rejoices in our accomplishments and relationship with him. GOD BRAGS about his servant Job to Satan, GOD is excited and thrilled in his son, and wishes his enemy to see his son’s success. This made us look at the verse in Romans differently all of a sudden. Romans talks about being joyful in tribulations, and it suddenly hit us. God bragged about Job, Satan in return wanted to test his faith, which brought tribulations upon Job. See we can take joy in tribulations because it comes after God smiles at you, and says “Satan see my son/ daughter?” Satan says yes, and God brags about your love for HIM. See trials come what seems to be after God bragged about you, so be JOYFUL in the trail because God thinks very highly of you, and LOVES YOU!

GOD BRAGGED ABOUT YOU SO ENJOY THE FAITH TRIAL!!

What do you live according to?

Romans 8:5
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

Can we make a conscience decision on what we live according to? Every morning can we decide to live for our flesh or for our spirit. When you wake up tomorrow ask yourself what you’re going to live for HIM, or yourself?

I tried it today must say its difficult but WOW God can definitely give you a spiritual check up all day with what you do, and how we let our minds wander to useless things. I believe  consciously putting God first will help us see him in a better light. It will also brighten your day, and show us his wonder and glory.

Who’s with me on consciously putting God first?

Ambassador or Christian?

Which would you like to be?

Christian– Any follower of Christ
Ambassador– an authorized messenger or representative

2 Corinthians 5:20
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Me personally would like to be an authorized official with a mission sent to lands for my king. Paul calls us Ambassadors of Christ, so (Ephesians 6) Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. As an Ambassador we have rank, and it’s time to fulfill God’s calling.

Common question:
You a Christian?
Common answer:
Yes

Uncommon answer:
No, I’m an Ambassador of Christ!

O lord, teach us to be your ambassador……..

Suffering- Old school

Written in February 7 2008:

Ok so i was reading recently in the book of Philippians, and this is what i got out of it!

Phillipians 1:29-30

For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.  We are in this struggle together. You have seen my struggle in the past, and you know that I am still in the midst of it.

No way Suffering a privilege??

What does this mean, and how is suffering a privelege?

So i’ve come down to this conclusion. Suffering is a privelege because it sets you to be LIKE CHRIST. It is a privilege because in your weakness Christ is stronger. God gets to show you how amazing he is, at times when he’s showing you how small we ALL are. So when we suffer it’s a privilege, because it means that God loves you, and is showing you his AMAZING POWER! He is showing you that you MUST depend on him, and that he still loves you, and is ready to take you to the next level in your walk with him!

Suffering is also a privilege because when you stand for your FAITH! When you stand for what is right, God loves it! If your suffering because of your faith, or because your standing for what is right! Than Rejoice, for your rewards will be MUCH greater than any amount of suffering…..

….Just think people are dying, being tortured, and brutalized, because of their FAITH! So rejoice in your suffering For God Almighty Loves YOU!!!

**Holy Spirit inspired, and this still speaks to me =]**

Spiritual Warfare

So as I sit, and think of all that has happened amongst the men in our group at Grace; I see blogs being started, more Unity, more Brotherhood, more Growth, and more Faith. This pass week, I’vehad accounts of things such as accountability and other things as just growth and God inspired thoughts from our youth. But today, I had so many thoughts and confirmations of Spiritual Warfare.
It started this morning, when listening to one of Javier’s songs inspired by “The Screwtape Letters” book. The idea behind the song is Demons talking to other demons about how to tempt us as Christians. Than I had two accounts of friends and friends of family tell me about there need for demonic interventions in the home. Saturday, is where a team of us willl go with all intention of furthering our kingdom of christ, so please pray….But as I pray and seek God’s advice I see this, one he has been with them from the strart, but something has left them vulnerable for attack. Maybe closet sin, unforgiveness, or something yet to be revealed. Two, I see this, God is bigger than any circumstance, and especially any demon. He has entitled us power, and revelation.
The word of God is our sword! My question is how big is your sword, and how sharp? Our sheildis made by Faith! How big and durable is your shield? Does it wither because of experiences you’ve had, and does it have bruises for your lack of trust? One thing that really blows my mind is this: In spiritual realm you don’t look like flesh and bones. You are as tall, buff, and warrior like as you have put time after Christ! You grow stronger as you pursue Christ, and your as strong as every word that comes from the mouth of God. You have billions upon billions of angels watching over you, and yet we still doubt? Remember God has already given you victory, and Satan is beneath you in ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.  How big are you in spirit form?

Will DEMONS feel intimidated when YOU walk in a room……

Smallgroup Revelation!

So Small group got rather, spirit-filled, and spirit-led tonight! As we sit there starting off with our traditional gospel, “Matthew” our goal is to not only read, but comprehend, and study the bible. As we come upon the verse where Jesus was born.

Matthew 2:9
“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the EAST went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.”

hmm…I stopped the reader, because God had shown me something rather interesting. The Father’s SON was born in the “East.” So that led me to look up his death, and I came upon finding that Jesus was crucified at Calvary on the West of the temple. This also shows, a our SUN rises in the East and sets in the West. Like our SUN, Jesus, Son of God, had risen in the East and was set down to die on the West. My question for thought!

1. What if that was another sign of the death of Christ?
2. What if there are signs now about what is to come? Are you really searching?

How simple a sign to compare the sun, yet how unnoticed. Remember God is looking for those to reveal all his mysteries open your eyes and seek after what today holds about tomorrow……
