All Fall Short- Justification

Rom 3:23  for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,

We all fall short, and all sin. But is this an excuse to do wrong and justify. “Well I messed up, but all have fallen short, so i’ll just pick up and move on?…”

Can we interpret scripture in many ways? Answer is YES! That’s what’s great about God’s word is that it’s living and moves with our spirit. But can we interpret the word for selfish gain? Answer is also YES!  Scripture should not be used as justification for sin, but as conviction of sin.

Even Satan tried to twist the written word of God:

and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:
‘ He shall give His angels charge over you,’
and,  ‘ In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’[a]

7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’[b]

Satan tried to twist the Bible for selfish gain, but Christ knew his word in and out.

No where does the word of God tell me sin is ok. Sin comes in all shapes and forms, and has two ends to a spectrum. For instance, to condemn yourself after you have sinned is a pride issue claiming your unworthy to be called his son/daughter. You can also have a pride issue by not feeling convicted by your sin, justifying it, and not receiving his grace. These two instances are completely opposite but both have pride.

The Word of God was spoken, written, and created to show us the way. A book of love for his creation that he set apart and loves. It is to show us our sinful nature and to bring us back to his Glory. It was meant to show us our sin, and repent of them, not justify them. The word of God continues to grow and teach as the spirit inside of us, connects with the Holy Spirit. Praise be to God for conviction, instead of condemnation. Praise be to God for his love which is unconditional. We as humans live conditionally, and our love is easy when times are great, but when life gets hard, we run.

Don’t justify your sin, just repent. Don’t let Satan get a foothold in your heart. You are equipped with the armor of God use it my brothers/sisters. Stand strong against temptation, but when you give in repent quickly and ask God for forgiveness. He is waiting eagerly to show you HIS Mercy everlasting.
